Jose Manuel Alonso-Revilla

Director of Information Systems Development at the Securities Commission of Spain

Jose Manuel is a Telecommunication Engineer who graduated from Madrid Polytechnic University. He is currently working as Director of Information Systems Development at the Securities Commission of Spain (CNMV) and responsible for the Spanish National Numbering Agency as well as Chair of the XBRL Spain’s Technology Working Group.

Since 1991 he has been the Spanish delegate to the ISO TC/68 SC4 participating in the development and implementation of several standards related to the electronic data interchange and STP in the Financial Industry.

David Blaszkowsky

Office of Interactive Disclosure,The US Securities and Exchange Commission

The US Securities and Exchange Commission appointed David Blaszkowsky in October to start and lead the new Office of Interactive Disclosure, with responsibilities that include the development of strategies for and implementation of XBRL and other electronic disclosure opportunities. David joined the SEC after a private sector career in consulting and financial information, most recently as a director leading several equity research and analytic information businesses for Standard & Poor’s in NY.

Before that, David was the Director of Strategic Planning and Development for McGraw-Hill’s Construction Information Group (where he also worked on an early industry-specific XML standard), and held financial planning and reengineering roles at Fidelity Investments in Boston. David’s earlier career was in management consulting, at McKinsey & Company, as well as at Price Waterhouse and Gemini Consulting.

David trained in economics at the University of Chicago, receiving a BA, and earned his MBA in finance and marketing at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. David lives, with his wife and 2 daughters, in Boston.

Ignacio Boixo

CEBS, XBRL Network, Coordinator

Ignacio "Nacho" Boixo is coordinator of the XBRL Network of the Committee of European Banking Supervisors, an European Institution whose responsibilities include the harmonization of the European Banking Supervision frameworks, promoting best practices in Europe as well as delivering the XBRL implementations of both the COREP (Basel II) and FINREP (IFRS) reporting frameworks which are now used, adapted with National XBRL Extensions, in more than half of the member countries of the European Community.

After the completion of an MSc. in Computing Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, he worked in a Consultancy firm from where he joined the Bank of Spain almost 30 years ago. He also holds a Diploma in Financial Economy from the Autonomous University of Madrid. Mr. Boixo is the Head of International Projects in the Information Systems and Processes Department of the Bank of Spain, and is a Member of the Information Technology Committee of the European System of Central Banks. Mr Boixo is the President of the Madrid Chapter of the Society of Spanish Computer Engineers, and is also a member of ISSA and MENSA.

Eric E. Cohen

Global XBRL Technical Leader for PricewaterhouseCoopers

He is one of the original founders of XBRL and the founder and chief architect of the XBRL Global Ledger Framework (XBRL GL). Mr. Cohen also serves as an ambassador of XBRL to other standards organizations, and is currently the Chair of the OASIS Tax XBRL Liaison SC of OASIS Tax XML. Working with the academic community is an important part of the future success of XBRL; Mr. Cohen collaborates with numerous academicians and researchers to facilitate research and study of issues like continuous auditing, data/data level assurance, XBRL and Web services and other important areas. He also supports the XBRL Academic Competition. A noted speaker and author, Mr. Cohen wrote the first major book about the relevance of the Internet to the Accounting profession, "The Accountant's Guide to the Internet", and has written hundreds of articles on XBRL and other relevant areas of accounting and business technology.

Christopher Cox

Chairman, US Securities and Exchange Commission

Christopher Cox is the 28th Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission. He was appointed by President Bush on June 2, 2005, and unanimously confirmed by the Senate on July 29, 2005. He was sworn in on August 3, 2005.

During his tenure at the SEC, Chairman Cox has made vigorous enforcement of the securities laws the agency's top priority, bringing ground breaking cases against a variety of market abuses including hedge fund insider trading, stock options backdating, fraud aimed at senior citizens, municipal securities fraud, and securities scams on the Internet. He has assumed leadership of the international effort to more closely integrate U.S. and overseas regulation in an era of global capital markets and international securities exchanges. He has also championed transforming the SEC's system of mandated disclosure from a static, form-based approach to one that taps the power of interactive data to give investors qualitatively better information about companies, mutual funds, and investments of all kinds. In addition, as part of an overall focus on the needs of individual investors, Chairman Cox has reinvigorated the agency's initiative to provide important investor information in plain English.

Mark Creemers

National Bank of Belgium, Statistics Dept.

Mark Creemers graduated as a Commercial Engineer and also holds a Master in Financial Economics. He has been working in the Statistics department of the National Bank of Belgium for five years, with a main focus on the banking sector.

He was recently closely involved both in the creation of the IFRS reporting scheme for the Belgian banks from a conceptual point of view and in the development of the national XBRL taxonomy for this scheme. Furthermore, he has also been occupied with the creation of the European IFRS-based FINREP taxonomy, an extension of the IFRS-GP taxonomy.

At present, he is responsible for the creation of the Belgian extensions of the FINREP and COREP taxonomies, as well as their national implementation in the IT infrastructure of the National Bank of Belgium.

Marie-Hélène Cretu

Chief Executive Officer of Prime Source Ltd.

Marie-Hélène Crétu graduated from IEP Paris (Institut d’Etudes Politiques) in 1984 and is a chartered accountant. She began her career as an auditor with Ernst & Young and later joined the Chase Manhattan Bank as Finance Director for France in 1989. Four years later she joined the Cargill Group where she occupied various positions in France, in the United States and finally in the United Kingdom as Chief Executive Officer of Cargill Investor Services Ltd, the broker for Futures and derivatives markets. In 2004, she returned to France and became the Chief Executive Officer of MTS France.

In 2006, she joined the Paris office of NYSE Euronext as Director of Fixed Income. As part of her responsibilities, she became Chief Executive Officer of Prime Source Ltd in February 2008 and is in charge of developing the new service of independent valuation agent offered by the Group. She is also the General Manager of the Luxnext partnership, developed between the NYSE Euronext Group and Bourse du Luxembourg.

Christian Dreyer

Tertium datur AG, Owner

Christian Dreyer is proprietor of Tertium datur AG, a Swiss consulting firm specializing in pan-European pension fund structures. Previously, he was chief financial officer at Open Systems AG in Zürich, an IT security outsourcer. Before that, he was head of investment research at Basler Kantonalbank. In addition, he has served as portfolio manager and assistant to the CEO of Baloise Bank SoBa, which he helped to transform from a state bank into a private enterprise.

Mr. Dreyer was also a consultant at Prognos AG, Basel. He is currently on the board of the Swiss CFA Society, on which he previously served as the President. He also volunteered for a number of CFA Institute committees. Currently he is on the International Accounting Standards Board's Analyst Representatives Group and on the Strategic Advisory Council for the IASB's XBRL activities. He holds a Masters Degree in political economy from the University of St. Gallen HSG in Switzerland and a Master of Laws degree from Edinburgh University (UK).

Luc Dufresne

Mr. Dufresnse, University Graduated Electro-Mechanical Engineer (Burg.ir.)-UG 1974, started his professional career at the National bank of Belgium in 1975. His complementary studies are: post graduate business administration (KUL), Computed Integrated Manufacturing (Industry-University foundation) and Manufacturing management (IMD-Lausanne).

Camille Dümm

National Bank of Belgium, Analyst

Camille Dümm is working at the National Bank of Belgium as analyst for the Central Balance Sheet Office. She is member of a working group dedicated to IAS/IFRS and XBRL within the European Committee of Central Balance Sheet Offices and is involved in the development of the Belgian taxonomy for non-financial companies.

Herman "Herm" Fischer

UBmatrix & Mark V

For UBmatrix, Inc, Herm is the designer and implementer of “Taxonomy Designer”, an interactive application for XBRL taxonomy building and instance document editing. He implemented formula editors and formula language processors for XBRL for the Excel-inspired approach used by the FDIC and for XPath 2 based approaches as used by UBmatrix XPE and Formula PWD prototypes. He implemented dimensional taxonomy editing and execution analysis. His XBRL execution processors continue in long production use by the FDIC and by NEC/SMBC.

He has a patent application on automated conversion of data and metadata to XBRL.

For Mark V Systems, Herm has been involved in development of graphical-based design and analysis software over three decades, and has been involved in public standards for the US DoD (Ada), the EEC Esprit program (PCTE), the Electronic Industries Association, and the Council of Defense and Space Industry Associations.

For XBRL.ORG, Herm’s passion to support public standards continues in contributions to the 2.0 and 2.1 versions of XBRL, its dimensions, formulas, infoset, version and pattern analysis.

Otherwise consumed, little time is left for hiking and travel, photography, and volunteer advocacy and relief efforts to genocide taking place in Darfur.

Anthony Fragnito

XBRL International, Inc, CEO

Tony Fragnito has acquired over 20 years experience managing finance and operations within for-profit and tax-exempt organizations. He has worked with volunteer leadership for over 15 years in both the educational and biomedical research fields. Throughout his career he has managed financial, governance, business service and technology issues both from an operational and strategic perspective. Mr. Fragnito graduated from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA and earned his CPA in 1988.

Ralf Frank

Managing Director, (DVFA) German Society of Investment Professional

Ralph Frank is Managing Director of the German Society of Investment Professionals and EFFAS' delegate for XBRL.

Ralf has with DVFA and EFFAS since 2002, working in the areas of Accounting Standards, Financial Communication and Reporting and Investor Relations. He is member of several committees with accounting standard setters and also a member of the Strategy Board of the German XBRL legislation. Ralf is also author of several publications on financial communication and information processing. Previously Ralf has worked as a business consultant in HR and in several marketing and sales positions with a global manufacturer of construction ad agricultural equipment. Ralf holds an MA in Communications from Essen University and an MBA from Sheffield Hallam Univerity/UK.

Paola Fumiani

Paola Fumiani (Project Manager) Graduated in 1981, joined InfoCamere taking the position of System Administrator in the IBM mainframe environment acquiring specific skills on system tuning and capacity planning over the large corporate platforms.

She supervised the transition from a mainframe base into a Client/Server architecture developing new competencies on the Java J2EE – Enterprise Edition and on the Web Services Architecture.  She joined different EU projects, e.g., the EBR – European Business Register Open Network as technology expert for the Web Service infrastructure, the WINS project – Web based Business Intelligence Service as technical consultant for the adoption of the XBRL standard and the BRITE project where XBRL enters the eProcurement arena.

She's the XBRL Technical expert and advisor at InfoCamere and to the workgroup of the “Associazione XBRL Italia” which has developed the taxonomy compliant to the Italian ‘civil code’ provisions. Paola is deeply involved in the process of adoption of the XBRL as compulsory format for the deposit of Annual Financial Statements to the Italian Business Register.

Gianluca Garbellotto

Gianluca Garbellotto is an internationally known expert on the business and the technical aspects of XBRL and XBRL Global Ledger Framework, and has extensive experience in its implementation in the Government and in the private sector. He is the current Chair of the XBRL Global Ledger Working Group, a member of the XBRL International Consortium Standards Board and the XBRL columnist for IMA’s Strategic Finance magazine.

As an active member of various Working Groups within the XBRL International Consortium he has contributed significantly to the current release of the XBRL Global Ledger taxonomy and to other official XBRL International technical documents, and he is a frequent and sought out lecturer and trainer on XBRL and XBRL GL topics.

He has extensive experience in the banking and financial industry as well as in accounting and financial software development and implementations, with a specific focus on ERP systems and XML/XBRL.

Masatomo Goto

Masatomo Goto, Fujitsu

Masatomo Goto has been with Fujitsu Japan since 1992. His activities focused on standardization for markup language such as SGML, Hytime, XML and XLink. He also served as a member of the XLink Working Group in W3C from 1999 to 2003.  Goto-san has also been active in XBRL activity since 2001 and chaired the Specification Working Group in 2003.

Thomas Gourgouillat

Thomas Gourgouillat graduated from the French Business School of "Sup de Co" (Saint-Etienne, FRANCE). Bachelor of art in business administration (University of Huddersfield), he also holds a Master in law.

Since 2001 he is in charge of the Commercial Court of Perpignan directing the Personal Property Securities Register as well as the Trade Register.  Thomas Gourgouillat is also involved in different international commissions for the National Council of Business Registrars and Commercial Courts. He’s an active member of INFOGREFFE, the computer platform for French Registers that will enable in June the deposit of companies’ annual accounts in the XBRL format.

Monica Grahn

Swedish Companies Registration Office

Ms Monica Grahn has held a variety of leadership positions during her seventeen years career at the Swedish Companies Registration Office (the SCRO). She has an extensive experience from the part at the SCRO that handles applications for company registrations, filings of annual accounts etc. During the last two years she has been involved in the activities that are being done to receive annual accounts in the XBRL format. Since six months Ms Grahn is head of the development department.

Andy Greener

HM Revenue & Customs

Andy Greener is a software architect responsible for interoperability and standards in HM Revenue & Customs' electronic services (HMRC is part of HM Treasury and the UK's principal tax administration, collecting in excess of £400bn annually). He is also strategy architect for HMRC's Company Tax online service, which has mandated the use of XBRL for the Accounts and Tax Computation components of all CT Returns due after 31st March 2011. He is a Chartered Engineer and Chartered Information Technology Professional with over 27 years experience as a software engineer, and earned a B.Sc in Computer Science from the University of York.

Pierre Hamon

Owner, etXetera

Pierre Hamon is Owner of etXetera, a newly formed company specialized in XBRL Solutions: consulting and representation of Semansys Technologies in France. He is an active member of XBRL France involved in the following working groups; Annual Accounts to build the French Accounts taxonomy, IFRS to adapt IFRS XBRL Taxonomy to France, and Marcom: Articles, Presentations, Training. Prior to that Pierre was Director Product Management for Cartesis, France where he made Cartesis a founding member of XBRL France and developed with Semansys the first integrated solution to produce XBRL reports.

Walter Hamscher

Standard Advantage, President & CEO

Walter Hamscher is a member of the XBRL International Board of Directors who has led and assisted with XBRL planning, design, execution and implementation in China, Japan, the Netherlands, Singapore, Spain, United Kingdom, and the United States.  He has worked with stock exchanges, bank supervisors, central banks, company registrars, government agencies, multinational corporations and not-for-profit entities.  Walter was responsible for quality control in the COREP (Common Reporting) taxonomies project of the Committee of European Banking Supervisors (CEBS) and is the architect of its multidimensional structure.  Walter is currently a taxonomy architect on the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) project to develop an XBRL taxonomy for US GAAP under subcontract to XBRL US, Inc.  He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
 

Dr. Heinz Hense

ThyssenKrupp AG, Chief Accountant

Heinz Hense is the chief accountant of ThyssenKrupp, a German DAX 30 public company with global operations generating sales of Euro 50 billion and employing 190,000 people worldwide. His responsibilities mainly comprise the preparation and filing of the company’s financial statements und organizing the Management Reporting process. Heinz has served the Group in various accounting and tax accounting roles since 1990. He has been a member of the AIC (Accounting Interpretations Committee) of the German Accounting Standards Board since 2004. He holds a doctorate in Accounting and Auditing awarded by Münster University, Germany.

ThyssenKrupp joined a project with the IASCF to implement a proof of concept of XBRL under IFRS for financial reporting in 2007.

Ivan Herman

Ivan Herman graduated as mathematician at the Eötvös Loránd University of Budapest, Hungary, in 1979. After a brief scholarship at the Université Paris VI I, he joined the Hungarian research institute in computer science (SZTAKI) where he worked for 6 years and turned into a computer scientist. He left Hungary in 1986 and, after a few years in industry in Munich, Germany, he joined the Centre for Mathematics and Computer Sciences (CWI) in Amsterdam where he has held a tenure position since 1988. He received a PhD degree in Computer Science in 1990 at the University of Leiden, in the Netherlands. Ivan joined the W3C Team as Head of W3C Offices in January 2001 while maintaining his position at CWI. He served as Head of Offices until June 2006, when he was asked to take the Semantic Web Activity Lead position, which is now his principal work at W3C.Before joining W3C he worked in quite different areas, but spent most of his research years in computer graphics and information visualization. He also participated in various graphics related ISO standardization activities and software developments.Prior to joining W3C, he was member of the Executive Committee of the Eurographics Association for 15 years, and was vice-chair of the Association between 2000 and 2002. He was the co-chair of the 9th World Wide Web Conference, in Amsterdam, May 2000; since then, he has also been member of IW3C2 (International World Wide Web Conference Committee), responsible for the World Wide Web Conference series. Since autumn 2007 he is also member of SWSA (Semantic Web Science Association), the committee responsible for the International Semantic Web Conferences series.Ivan has also developed some software (in Python) that might be of interest. An example is an SPARQL (RDF Query Language) API implementation on the top the RDFLib package. This package has recently been added to the latest release of RDFLib with a proper SPARQL language parser. This work was done Chimezie Ogbuji. He also developed (and maintains) a RDFa Distiller software, ie, a Python implementation of the RDFa syntax, as well as a small package to interface SPARQL queries from Python.

Thomas Hoey

Director of the FASB Codification Project

Since completing the codification design phase in 2004, Thomas Hoey & Associates, LLC has served as director of the FASB Codification Project. Mr. Hoey was previously a partner with Arthur Andersen LLP and directed the development of Arthur Andersen’s global accounting research platform and its related external product, Accounting Research Manager. Before his role with Andersen’s accounting research platform, Mr. Hoey was a member of Andersen’s national office and audit practice. Between 2002 and 2004, Mr. Hoey served as Managing Director of the Accounting Research Manager product line for CCH, Inc.

Claus Hoffmann

As a key account manager, Claus Hoffmann is responsible for S&N's major customers in the financial industry. His consulting activities cover all chain links of the financial value supply chain. He is supporting XBRL Deutschland since 2002, presently as a member of the steering committee. In 2007, S&N was the first company in Germany, to implement a balance sheet analysis system, that used XBRL to exchange financial data between major banks.

Harm Jan van Burg

Senior Policymaker, Ministry of Finance, Netherlands

Harm Jan van Burg is senior policymaker for the Netherlands Ministry of Finance/ Directorate-General of the tax- and customs administration in The Hague since 1983. He has held several positions, mostly connected to communication. Among these corporate communications, Customs communications, chain management for tax form production and distribution, e-tax services and presently innovation and development. Before the Ministry of Finance he worked for the Dutch post and telecommunications.

During his whole career, Harm Jan was involved in electronic communication. He was responsible for early day's videotext services, the first tax administration website (1995), involved in electronic tax filing and presently the electronic government in the Netherlands.

Presently he is project leader for the national XBRL taxonomy project and vice chair of the intergovernmental management-team for the coordination of E-government development in The Netherlands

Ineke E.G. Jansen MM

Ms. E.G. (Ineke) Jansen MM (1963) is founder of MP International, a company specialized in organizing efficient and effective contacts between the public and private sector. The relationship between government and business is a continuous thread though her professional career. Started in 1986 at the Fiscal Information and Investigation Service (FIOD), Ineke was researcher and project manager of (international) data exchange. Since 1995 she was involved, as account and team manager, in several rojects of the Dutch Tax Office regarding electronic data exchange. In 2002 she joined the Interdepartmental Program Government Desk 2000, being active in advising local councils on themes like multichanneling and citizen driven services.

After almost twenty years being in the civil service, Ineke started in 2003 her own business on the Governess concept: building bridges between government and businesses. Since then she worked for several governmental projects in the field of reduction of administrative burdens (ICTAL, GEIN-project and NTP). Besides that, clients came (and still come) from the private sector: businesses that depend for their processes and success on good collaboration with governmental organizations. Highly involved in (regulatory) reporting chains, Ineke founded the MP international business division of Marco Polo Platform in 2005. This division supports private and public organizations with workshops and implementation services regarding reducing administrative burdens and the use of international open standards. Ineke is a member of the Standard Business Reporting Forum.

Steef Klop

Steef Klop is partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers Accountants NV (PwC) in the Netherlands and as a member of the Assurance Board responsible for the Middle Market portfolio. Steef Klop has acquired broad experience in advising and controlling, working as an accountant and advisor at medium-sized international operating companies at PwC since 1981 with specialization in technology and construction. Recently he performed a benchmark research analyzing the ICT trends for the following years amongst 20 leading IT companies in the Netherlands. This research concludes that the IT industry has some though decisions to make.

Toshinori Kobayashi

Toshinori Kobayashi is a Director for Enforcement of Corporate Disclosure Division of Financial Services Agency (FSA), the Japanese Government. He is currently responsible for the planning and operating of the FSA's Electronic Disclosure for Investors' NETwork (EDINET) system, and leads the FSA's XBRL project

Makoto Koizumi

Fujitsu Limited, Consultant

Makoto Koizumi is a XBRL consultant at Fujitsu Limited, a member of XBRL Japan, and has led Fujitsu’s Global XBRL Initiatives since 2004 June. He has 3 years working experience on XBRL and the business reporting area. He serves on the XBRL International Steering Committee.

Ivan Koo

Mr. Ivan Koo is Head (Financial Reporting) Financial Reporting Regulations Division of The Accounting & Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) Singapore. The Financial Reporting Regulations Division promotes high quality corporate financial reporting to build confidence in Singapore’s corporate financial reports. He is the project manager of the ACRA XBRL team which oversees the implementation and adoption of XBRL in Singapore. He is also a certified public accountant of Singapore.

Mike Krzus

Partner, Grant Thornton LLP, National Professional Standards Group 

Mike is currently serving as the president of the Enhanced Business Reporting Consortium and he is one of the EBRC’s delegates to the World Intellectual Capital Initiative. He is a member of the AICPA Assurance Services Executive Committee and past Chairman of the AICPA XBRL Assurance Task Force. Prior to joining Grant Thornton, Mike worked in the Assurance Professional Standards Group of Arthur Andersen. He focused primarily on U.S. and international standards for new types of attestation and assurance services. Mike’s background includes diverse management experience in industry and public accounting. He has held positions including Year 2000 project director, director of internal audit and director of financial reporting for publicly held companies. In addition, Mike was in the national SEC practice of an international public accounting firm and was a director in the accounting and auditing quality control group of large Chicago-based public accounting firm.

Ray Lam

JustSystems, XBRL Architect

Raymond Lam is a software architect with 19 years of systems development experience and over a decade of experience in the design of XML information systems. His work has ranged from thick-client desktop applications written in C++ for the Windows platform to distributed multi-server systems written in Java for Linux-based platforms.

Raymond has been involved with XML since its inception, having contributed to XML projects in such industries as technology, banking, government, retail and manufacturing. Raymond is also a presenter for Justsystems at XBRL conferences, and has been a college instructor where he has taught courses on XML and software development.

In his role as lead XBRL architect for Justsystems, Raymond heads up the team responsible for XMetaL’s XBRL processor, a processor that leads the industry in processing efficiency and performance. Under his leadership, the team has integrated the XBRL processor into several developer-oriented tools and end-user applications, including an industry-first online XBRL instance viewer and validator.

Jeremy Lebrett

XBRL Specialist, Thomson Reuters

Jeremy has been with Thomson Reuters (formerly Reuters) for 14 years and has been involved with XBRL since 2001. During this time he has been responsible for converting Reuters Financial Results into XBRL and has most recently managed the process of submitting IFRS-compliant documents to the SEC under their Voluntary Filing Program. Jeremy is also closely involved with formulating strategy for the adoption of XBRL in Thomson Reuters products.

Before joining Reuters, Jeremy worked for a software house for five years having gained a Masters Degree in Software Engineering from Imperial College, London.

Marc-Olivier Lellouche

Marc-Olivier graduated from IUPI (Institut Universitaire Pour l’Informatique, Paris France), in 1994.  He began his career as a sales engineer. 5 years later, he co-founded an IT consulting company specialized in the Business Intelligence. Early in 2003 they developed a research department dedicated to the XBRL standard that positions the company as one of the historic actor in France.  In 2006 Umanis offered the possibility of developing the activity around XBRL and together they gained the first French project at the "Banque de France".With its expertise into developing XBRL platform, Umanis is now offering solutions to both regulators and end users with FinRisk, a full XBRL solution.Today, Marc-Olivier is the Director of the XBRL business Unit at Umanis and he is also in charge in developing Umanis activity in Belgium and northern France.

Sylvie Lépicier

Sylvie Lépicier graduated in Business and Administration from Sup de Co Rouen in 1980, from a French Law University (Paris X) in 1983 with a Master in Business Law, and from a Canadian Law University (Ottawa University) with a Master in Fiscal Law in 1983. She is also a Chartered Accountant. She began her career as a bank auditor in Touche Ross (Deloitte) in 1984, then she took the position of Operations Manager in CIBC (Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce) in Paris. In 1993, she founded LGB Finance, a consultancy company specialized in banking and financial consultancy for investment banks. She merged the company in 2001 with a software group, Viveo. In addition to her position as LGB Finance’s CEO, she became  Général Manager for the IT solutions department  in 2004. In 2006, she fully joined XBRL France as an active board member, in charge of Marketing and Communication. She is the permanent representative of XBRL France at the Pôle Finance Innovation, a worldwide competitiveness cluster,  in order to promote projects linked with XBRL technology in Finance reporting. She is also deeply involved in actions targeted to improve transparency in financial and non-financial reporting in Europe.

Andrew Ling

Andrew Ling works in Equity Research at UBS.  He is responsible for client connectivity; looking at how UBS works with its clients to manage and communicate content.  In this role, Andrew covers topics such as third party vendor strategy, monetising research, entitlements and content management.  He is a member of the board of RIXML.org.  He has worked at UBS for 8 years, with previous roles in Equities eProducts, and as Head of R&D for Equity Research.  Prior to this, he worked for I/B/E/S International, the research firm.  Andrew read Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Lincoln College, Oxford.

Josef Macdonald

Associate Director in International Auditing and Assurance Standards for Ernst & Young Global

Prior to this, Josef was the inaugural XBRL Practice Fellow with the IASC Foundation - the parent foundation, created as part of the reorganisation in 2000 to oversee the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB). Josef is the longest serving practice fellow in its 20 year history. In this role he founded the IASC Foundation XBRL Team, which he led from its inception.

As founding Chair of the IFRS Taxonomy Working Group, Josef was primarily responsibility was to coordinate development of the core IFRS-based XBRL taxonomies and their support applications and to initiate and direct IFRS XBRL-based projects.

He is currently chairman of the IASB IT Discussion Group and the IASB’s representative to the European Committee of Central Balance Sheet Data Offices (ECCBSO). He is XBRL project leader for the ECCBSO Third Working Group’s IFRS projects.

Josef is a former Chairman of the XBRL International Domain Working Group and was an Interim XBRL Standards Board member.

Josef graduated with a BCom and LLB from the University of Auckland. He is a New Zealand Chartered Accountant, as well as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand.

Paul Madden

Paul Madden, Programme Manager, Standard Business Reporting, Treasury

Paul Madden is the Programme Manager for Standard Business Reporting which is being led from within the Australian Treasury. He is responsible for the overall programme including design, development, stakeholder relationships and management, and implementation. Paul also co-ordinates the work of teams in the other agencies in this multi government agency programme.

Prior to taking up this role, Paul was a First Assistant Commissioner with the Australian Tax Office responsible for the overall design (systems and business process) of a major transformation program, as well as developing business and systems designs to support policy and administrative reforms with a client and staff experience focus.

Within the Tax Office, Paul also had responsibility for Whole of Government service delivery and interoperability, and was the ATO’s Business owner for On-line Security and Authentication Processes. He was a member of the OECD Taxpayer Services Group and responsible for adoption of open standards for compliance reporting and record keeping.

Paul played a major role as the Project Manager for systems delivery of a major Tax Reform in 2000, and has since led subsequent reform projects and has managed the ATO's overall systems development function.

Cameron McInnis

Cameron McInnis, Manager, Corporate Finance Branch of the Ontario Securities Commission

He joined Corporate Finance in June 2003 and leads a team of individuals in carrying out various activities of the Branch, including conducting prospectus and continuous disclosure reviews of reporting issuers as well as addressing various policy issues. Cameron previously served as Associate Chief Accountant at both the OSC and the British Columbia Securities Commission, and worked at a major accounting firm for several years prior to that. Cameron obtained his Chartered Accountant designation in 1993 after graduating from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree. Cameron is Chair of the Canadian Securities Administrator’s XBRL Working Group. This working group is responsible for establishing and administering the Canadian XBRL voluntary filing program. This program allows public companies in Canada to voluntarily file their financial statements in XBRL.

Jean-Luc Menda

Mr. Jean-Luc Menda, Deputy Director, Policy and Research, in the General Secretariat of the Banking Commission - Bank of France

Mr. Jean-Luc Menda has been Deputy Director, Policy and Research, in the General Secretariat of the Banking Commission - Bank of France - since March 2004. He is presently supervising the Accounting and the IT divisions . He has been responsible for implementing the COREP and FINREP reporting projects in XBRL and is now in charge of the new SURFI project of collecting prudential and monetary data from financial institutions using XBRL standard. Since September 2005, he is also member of the Board of XBRL France and was appointed last June as the representative member of the French jurisdiction in the International Steering Committee, and more recently as member of the Board of Directors. In 1991, he joined the off-site supervision Department of the General Secretariat of the Banking Commission, as a Senior Analyst, and took up the position of Division Chief, in charge of Mutual Banks, in 1996. In 1982, he joined the Bank of France as Manager in the External Relations Directorate. In 1989 he was seconded to the International Monetary Fund (Washington D.C.), as Advisor to the French Executive Director. Jean-Luc Menda studied Business and Economics at the Hautes Etudes Commerciales school, and the Institute for Political Sciences in Paris.

Mark Montoya

Mark Montoya is currently Senior Business Analyst of Data Strategy for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation's Division of Insurance and Research.  In this capacity, Mark is responsible for management awareness for data quality, management support for Meta data, management directives for data sharing, distribution and data standards.  Mark was one of the original founders of the Central Data Repository (CDR), an XBRL-based financial reporting collection system accessed and shared by the US Federal Reserve Board, the US Office of Comptroller of Currency and the US FDIC.  Since its inception, Mark has presented and shared lessons learned on implementing XBRL in large enterprise settings.  Mark has been involved with XBRL since 2001 and has extensive experience developing and implementing XBRL formulas.

Victor Morilla

Víctor Morilla is, since 2005, a project manager in the Bank of Spain where he is focused on delivering financial reporting solutions for the Regulatory Banking Department. He is one of the principal authors of the COREP and FINREP taxonomies and their Spanish extensions. He is responsible for the development of the IT systems that supports the reporting of the Basel II Accord information to the Bank of Spain. He is a member of the XBRL Network of the Committee of European Banking Supervisors, the XBRL Quality Review Team of the IASC Foundation, the XML Task Force of the European Central Bank, and is Vice-Chair of the Formula Working Group of XBRL International.

Víctor graduated, in 1994, as a Telecommunications Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Madrid. He completed his Master Thesis with distinction at the Artificial Intelligence Department at this University, in collaboration with the Linguistics Chair of the Autónoma University of Madrid. He started his professional career in 1994 at the research and development branch of a multinational telecommunications company where he developed management systems and worked on the analysis of standard telecommunications protocols. In 2000, he moved to the IT department of the holding company of the group where he specialised in business intelligence and financial reporting supply chain related systems, from where he joined the Bank of Spain in 2005.

Philip Moyer

Philip Moyer joined EDGAR Online as President in April, 2007 and became CEO in July, 2007. Mr. Moyer came to EDGAR Online from two years in private equity/venture capital with a focus on early stage companies and small cap technology firms. Previously, Mr. Moyer spent fifteen years at Microsoft managing large worldwide teams in sales, consulting, support, partner channels and technology. In his most recent role at Microsoft he managed the Professional Services industry (Accounting, Legal, Outsourcing, & HR customers) with a focus on Sarbanes Oxley, XBRL, and international accounting standards. Throughout his career at Microsoft, Mr. Moyer won multiple national and global awards for customer satisfaction, and financial performance. Prior to joining Microsoft he was a co-founder of a software company which was subsequently sold to Sungard. He holds a B.S in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh. He is on the advisory Board of Safeguard Scientifics and has recently been elected to the board of XBRL.US.

Diane Mueller

Diane Mueller, Vice President, XBRL Development, Justsystems Canada

Diane Mueller is Vice President, XBRL Development focused on the Financial Services sector Justsystems Canada. She has been designing and implementing products and applications embedded into mission critical financial and accounting systems at F500 corporations for over 20 years. Diane has been actively involved in development efforts of XBRL standard for the past 7 years. She is currently a Member of the XBRL International Steering Committee. She is the chair of the Rendering Technical Working Group, a past at-large member of the XBRL-US steering committee, the past chair of the XBRL/GL working group and a contributor to the Canadian GAAP XBRL taxonomy.

Nils-Bro Müller

Nils-Bro Müller is Senior Advisor DCCA (Danish Commerce and Companies Agency). From 1970-1977 he studied political science and history at the University of Cobenhagen. He has been working in the information technology field since the early 80´s first for the Ministry of Finance. He has worked for DCCA since 1999, where he has been responsible for the development of the government BtoG portal Virk.dk, and other self service solutions. He is also responsible for the development of the Danish XBRL solution. Nils-Bro has been working with XBRL since 2005, and is a member of the board of XBRL Denmark.

Yossef Newman

Yossef Newman is an audit senior manager and project leader for XBRL at Deloitte. He has spent much of his career specializing in technology assisted auditing with a focus on the Securities and Banking Industry. As a financial auditor he has served a wide range of clients including multinational brokerage and investment firms, government securities dealers and mortgage banking entities. Yossef has also served as a member of Deloitte’s technology innovation team, helping to develop and deploy new technologies and tools within Deloitte’s Audit and Enterprise Risk Services practice.Since 2003 Yossef has been an active member of the XBRL International Consortium where he currently serves as chairman of the Taxonomy Recognition Task Force and as a member of the XBRL International Standards Board, the group responsible for managing the production of the consortium's technical materials.Prior to joining Deloitte, Yossef served as a financial accountant with D.E. Shaw & Co. L.P. As a member of the financial operations group Yossef worked with management to develop reporting processes for both domestic operations and overseas subsidiaries, participated in financial statement preparation and was responsible for the accounting and regulatory filings of a startup online broker dealer.Yossef is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of CPA’s. He received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Touro College and also studied abroad at Yeshivas Toras Moshe, Israel.

Conor O'Kelly

Representative from Ireland to XBRL International Steering Committee

Conor O'Kelly is 1st Vice Chairman of XBRL International, the non-profit consortium of over 550 members developing the XBRL Standard.
He is the Chairman of XBRL Ireland and represents Ireland on the International Steering Committee of XBRL International. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland with an MSc in IT Management . He has ten years background in global IT managed services, global project management and strategic IT business planning with Hewlett Packard and Ericsson.
Mr. O'Kelly is a past member of Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.

Holger Obst

Project Manager, International Accounting Standards Committee (IASC) Foundation

Holger graduated from the University of Leipzig in Germany where he studied Business Administration and Economics with majors in Corporate Finance, Accounting and Economic Policy. He worked for KPMG in audit before he started as a research assistant at the Treuhandseminar, University of Cologne in Germany. His research work mainly relates to the benefits of XBRL to accounting regimes.

He is familiar with XML Standards like XSLT, XPath and XQuery. He has developed an XBRL taxonomy for his research work into IFRS and Fair Value, as well as adapting tools for filing XBRL instance files related to this project.

Bartosz Ochocki

Bartosz Ochocki is the co-owner and the Chief Technology Officer of the Business Reporting - Advisory Group Sp. z o.o. (BR-AG). The company’s main activities are consulting services, conducting trainings and software development in the area of business reporting solutions utilizing XBRL.

As the representative of the company Bartosz advises the National Bank of Poland on extending COREP and FINREP XBRL taxonomies and was involved in the development process of the reporting platform for gathering reports from banks. He also helps reporting banks to prepare their human resources and IT systems for new reporting requirements.

As the CTO of BR-AG Bartosz has been leading several projects including analysis of implementation of XBRL based business reporting supply chain for the Warsaw Stock Exchange, showcasing possible use of the standard for EU funds for the Polish Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Regional Development and conducting trainings (National Bank of Austria, commercial banks and software vendors).

Prior to his work for BR-AG, Bartosz was a student-intern at the International Accounting Standards Committee (IASC) Foundation. He participated in implementation of IFRS General Purpose taxonomy into digital reporting standard format of European Committee of Central Balance Sheet Data Offices and took part in XBRL-enablement prototype for New Zealand E-government Programme.

Bartosz graduated from the Poznan University of Economics (Management Department with majors in Capital Investments and Corporate Financial Strategies) where he received a Master’s degree in economics.

In 2005, together with Michal Piechocki, Bartosz won the 5th XBRL International Academic Competition by developing a general purpose XBRL taxonomy based on the Polish Accounting Act for C&I. Currently, Bartosz is the main editor of the Polish GAAP XBRL Taxonomies.

Michael Ohata

Michael Ohata is the Managing Director of the KPMG Chicago office in Advisory Services focusing on CFO Advisory, including Business Intelligence. He also serves as a leader for Extensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL).

Michael recently joined KPMG after nearly eleven years at Microsoft Corporation, where he worked the last three years in the Finance Corporate Controller division. There he led the XBRL initiative and also created and led a new product development.

Giancarlo Pellizzari

After a Master in Business Economics and a complementary Master in Finance and Accounting, Giancarlo started his carrier at Ernst & Young. In 2002, he joined the CBFA (Belgian supervisor) where he was responsible for the accounting, compliance and XBRL policy for banking and insurance institutions. He was member of various committees within CEBS, Basel Committee, CEIOPS and IAIS. Giancarlo also had the opportunity to participate in the development of the IASCF IFRS-GP taxonomy and was co-responsible of the development of the Belgian-FINREP and CEBS-FINREP taxonomies. He’s now Head of Prudential Policy at Dexia Holding and responsible for Solvency (banking and insurance), regulatory reporting and XBRL, within the Finance department. He is also member of various Banking Committees and Working Groups and of the CEBS Reporting Experts Group.

Ranyani Perera

Ranyani Perera, is the product manager responsible for the XBRL initiative at Cognos an IBM Company. Cognos is a recognized industry leader and one of the largest providers of business intelligence and performance management solutions,. Ranyani works to foster XBRL related partnerships as well as drive the use of the standard throughout the Cognos product suite. Ranyani works closely as a member of a cross-functional, cross-organizational team in IBM dedicated to the advancement of XBRL within IBM products.

Michal Piechocki

Michal Piechocki holds a Master in Economics degree at the Poznan University of Economics in the field of Capital Investments and Financial Corporate Strategies. Currently Michal serves as Board Member of the Business Reporting – Advisory Group Sp. z o.o. which among other advises to the European central banks on COFINREP XBRL implementation. On behalf of the company he is leading XBRL trainings for numerous commercial banks and SEC filers. He also served as a judge in various XBRL and IFRS-related national and international competitions. As a BR-AG representative Michal is cooperating with XBRL International Consortium by leading XBRL XII trainings at XBRL international conferences. He contributes to the XBRL international working groups and serves as a Taxonomy Editor at the Domain Working Group in the Polish XBRL Jurisdiction. Michal is one of organisers of the International Public Sector Working Group.

As a member of the IASC Foundation XBRL Team Michal contributed to the development of the IFRS-GP XBRL taxonomy and related projects, particularly he coordinated technical side of the ECCBSO project. He was the author of a number of solutions to the technical XBRL issues published by the IASC Foundation XBRL Team and contributed to development of various IFRS-GP extension’s architectures (i.e. Australian AASB/ASX taxonomies).

Michal’s former experience in financial domain comprises of CPA assistant work at one of the auditing companies. Michal was also leading several IT projects at the Poznan University of Economics and various Polish companies.

Dr. Maciej Piechocki

XBRL Project Manager - Technology, IASC Foundation

Maciej Piechocki holds a PhD in Economics (dr. rer. pol.) with major in Management Information Systems and his doctoral dissertation covered the area of “XBRL Financial Reporting Supply Chain Architecture”. Maciej Piechocki holds an MSc in Management and Marketing from the University of Economics in Poznan, Poland where he majored in Investment and Corporate Financial Strategy. He also holds an MSc in Business Administration from the Freiberg University of Technology, Germany with majors in Information Technologies and Information Systems, Accounting and Corporate Governance.

Maciej is the author of the insolvency prediction model commonly used by auditors in Poland using the analysis of financial statements and financial ratios.

Maciej is an initiator of Polish XBRL Jurisdiction and the founding member of the XBRL Poland Association. He is also the chair of the Domain Working Group of this jurisdiction. Also as a member of XBRL Germany he is involved in the taxonomy development based on German GAAP.

Formerly, he was the Head of the Competence Centre Information Logistics at the Chair of Information Systems at the Freiberg University of Technology. In the industry related projects of the Competence Centre he was responsible for topics such as data warehouses, business intelligence, ontologies and XBRL concerning the Information Logistics.

Maciej was also an advisor to several XBRL projects including central and commercial banks, stock exchanges and IT companies.Currently Maciej works as Project Manager for International Accounting Standards Committee Foundation where he is involved in numerous IFRS and XBRL related projects. His main areas of activities include technological aspects of the IFRS taxonomy development.

Campbell Pryde

Campbell Pryde is the Chief Standards Officer of XBRL US. He is responsible for the development, maintenance and support of the US GAAP taxonomies.  Prior to joining XBRL US Campbell was an Executive Director at Morgan Stanley overseeing the Equity Research standard XBRL valuation model used by Morgan Stanley globally for the publishing of Equity Research reports. Campbell was a Partner at KPMG from 2000 to 2004 where he oversaw a number of audit and advisory engagements for large global  financial institutions.

Zhou Qinye

Executive Vice President of the Shanghai Stock Exchange

Mr. Zhou Qinye is currently Executive Vice President of The Shanghai Stock Exchange. He joined the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 1994.

Mr. Zhou serves as a member of the Accounting Standards Committee of the Ministry of Finance, of China Internal Control Standards Committee, of the Auditing Standards Committee of the Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants (CICPA), of the Internal Control Instruction Committee of CICPA and a director of CICPA. He is also a Standing Director of Shanghai Accounting Institute and a member of Shanghai Judiciary Expertise Committee. He is now an academic advisor to PhD candidates at Fudan University and adjunct professor at Xiamen University, Tongji University, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and Shanghai Lixin University of Commerce.

Mr. Zhou's major research covers accounting, auditing and information disclosure in securities markets. He has published many papers in professional magazines. He is the leader of the key research projects sponsored by the Ministry of Finance, including Issues on Capital (Securities) Markets and Information Disclosure, Option-Based Payment for Employees and Research on the Internal Control of Financial Statements.

Mr. Zhou obtained a Master's Degree in Economics from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics in 1986.

Kurt Ramin

Kurt P. Ramin is Global Chairman (Emeritus), XBRL International Steering Committee. He is based at the International Accounting Committee Foundation (IASCF) and IASB in London. Prior to that he was a Partner in PricewaterhouseCoopers’ New York office and served as Chief Financial Officer to several different companies in the USA and Germany. Kurt Ramin holds an MBA from Central Michigan University. He is a CPA (New York) and a member of the Financial Executives International (FEI) and their Globalization Oversight Committee (GOC). He has published articles on International Financial Reporting, XBRL and Capital Markets issues in International Handbooks and Magazines.

Michele Romanelli

Michele Romanelli is a Computer Scientist graduated from the University of Bari, Italy. He works as an IT project manager at the Banca d’Italia Statistics Department where he has over 15 years of experience in software development for statistic and supervision reporting supply chain. Michele’s experience includes data dictionary modelling and metadata-driven application development to support supervision and statistical analysis.He is a member of  the XBRL Network of the Committee of European Banking Supervisors whose responsibilities include the harmonization of the European Banking Supervision frameworks, promoting best practices in Europe as well as delivering the XBRL implementations of both the  COREP (Basel II) and FINREP (IFRS) reporting frameworks.  He was a member of XBRL Dimensional WG that released the XDT 1.0 specification. Currently he is member of the XBRL Spec WG, XBRL Formula WG and XBRL Versioning WG. He is also Technical Group Coordinator of the Italian XBRL jurisdiction.

Marko Roos

Marko Roos is researcher at the Methodology Department of Statistics Netherlands. He is involved as reseracher and project leader in several XBRL-related projects at Statistics Netherlands. In the Dutch Taxonomy Project he is a member of the taxonomy architecture team.

Lars Rydell

Swedish Companies Registration Office

Lars is working as a Project Manager at the Swedish Companies Registration Office since 1st of February 2007. He had a jump-start with XBRL and his first project was to facilitate the use of XBRL in Annual Accounts to small and mid sized companies. Since august 2007 Lars also got responsibility for a second project in parallel which purpose is to develop new taxonomies to match new legislation as well as improvements to the existing. Anthony Schell

Katrin Schmehl

Deutsche Bundesbank, Software Engineer

Katrin Schmehl, who holds a degree in business administration from the University of Applied Sciences of the German Central Bank, works as a software engineer in the IT department of the Deutsche Bundesbank where for the past six years, she  has specialised in the development of web applications for banking supervision purposes.

Since October 2004 she has represented the Deutsche Bundesbank in the CEBS XBRL Network of the CEBS where she played a central role in the development of the  Common Reporting (COREP) and  Financial Reporting (FINREP) taxonomies for European Banking Supervisors. She has participated as a speaker at  many of the European Banking Supervisors XBRL Workshops that were organised to exchange information about the XBRL development process in Europe for COREP and FINREP, with particular emphasis on explaining  the dimensional aspects of the COREP and FINREP taxonomies to taxonomy editors who were  adopting the CEBS XBRL approach.

For the last two years she has been in charge of the integration of XBRL reporting into an application system of the Deutsche Bundesbank,  with a special focus on extending the COREP taxonomy to meet the specific German requirements for Solvency Reporting within the European COREP framework.  As Vice-Chair of the Versioning Working Group, she is currently deeply involved in the development of the XBRL Versioning Specification.

Olivier Servais

Since 16 April 2007, XBRL Team Leader – IASC FoundationThe Mission of the IASCF XBRL Team is to create and provide the framework for consistent adoption and implementation of IFRS standards with an XBRL taxonomy. In his capacity of Team Leader, Olivier is in charge of coordinating all resources for accelerating the implementation and use of IFRS with XBRL. The International Accounting Standards Committee (IASC) Foundation, the oversight body of the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB), is the private sector independent body responsible for the development and promulgation of a single set of high quality international accounting standards, commonly named IFRS.

Since 1 Feb 2006, Director – XBRL International in Europe During this period, Olivier has been in charge of coordinating all efforts for accelerating the implementation and use of XBRL in Europe. (This position carries forward Olivier’s previous responsibilities as Permanent Secretary of XBRL in Europe).

Barry Smith

Barry Smith, DCU, Active Business Reporting Limited (ABRL)

Barry Smith has worked with XBRL since 2002. Activities include PhD research at Dublin City University, Ireland, and more recently as a director of Active Business Reporting Limited (ABRL). The company was established in early 2006 in order to develop XBRL-enabled financial reporting software. Taxonomy and report template development services are also provided. Areas of particular interest include GAAP and COREP taxonomy development, dimensions and rendering. Barry is a member of XBRL Ireland, assisted with organising the 15th XBRL International Conference in Munich, and also contributes to the XBRL Rendering Working Group. He is due to deliver a hands-on XBRL training course with Anthony Schell of ValuLink in the morning on 5 May & 8 May 2008 and will co present: XBRL for Users- an overview of the technology, its benefits and application in the Financial Executive/Investment Professionals Track in the afternoon on 5 May 2008. Barry delivers XBRL training and education seminars to a wide range of academic and professional audiences on a regular basis.

Barry Smith is a chartered accountant. Prior to undertaking PhD work at Dublin City University, Barry spent five years working as an accountant in practice with PricewaterhouseCoopers in New Zealand, Zimbabwe and Germany.

Paul Snijders

CEO Semansys Technologies BV

Paul is co-founder and board member of the Dutch jurisdiction of XBRL International and one of the driving forces behind the global adoption of XBRL. Paul has a background in finance and accounting and is involved in pragmatic implementations of digital reporting on a daily basis. As member of the International Specification Workgroup, chairman of the section Technology of XBRL The Netherlands, member of the Implementation Group of XBRL-UK, the Tools Section of XBRL-Germany and the CRAS workgroup, Paul has gained recognition as an expert in definition and deployment of the standard. Paul was founding board member and director of the 'XBRL in Europe' consortium.

Paul was the initiator of the first XBRL projects in the Europe and involved as co-initiator and project manager Architecture in the Netherlands Taxonomy Project for nation wide implementation of XBRL for all Dutch businesses.

Wilson So

Wilson So is the Director of Hitachi America, Ltd. XBRL Business Unit, introducing Hitachi's XBRL products and consulting services to both the commercial and government sectors and actively contributing to XBRL thought leadership. Prior to his current role, Wilson led Hitachi;s technology marketing effort in North America for next-generation data center technology, ubiquitous computing, and IP internetworking. Before Hitachi, he worked for General Dynamics Canada as a R&D manager and was one of the founding team members to develop the world's first-ever-fielded land mine detection robot.

Efrem Tonioni

Technical Account Manager, Wolters Kluwer Italy

Efrem Tonioni is the responsible for financial softwares at Wolters Kluwer Italy and brings more than 10 years experience to his role. Efrem manages and coordinates all aspects of developing and distribution operations and handles marketing and commercial policy matters. He has managed several projects such as Basilea2, Tax and Deduction, Consolidate Balance-Sheet, and now his focus is on the new IFRS Balance-Sheet software solution.

John Turner

John Turner, CEO, CoreFiling

John Turner is Chief Executive of CoreFiling, a privately held company with major shareholders including Business Wire, the global leader in financial news distribution, a wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway. CoreFiling also now incorporates DecisionSoft, renowned for its design, publication and validation of XML and XBRL. Turner led KPMG’s Global XBRL Services Team prior to founding CoreFiling. Prior to that he led the redevelopment of data collection systems for the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA), the first such project in the world to use XBRL for data collection and analysis. With a background in financial regulation, financial analysis, software development and project management, Turner holds degrees in Arts and Law from the University of Queensland.

Katrine Vedel

Katrine is currently Head of Section of DCCA (Danish Commerce and Companies Agency). In 2005 she earned her MSc in Interdisciplinary  IT from the IT University of Copenhagen. She has been working in the information technology field since the late 90's for a large telecommunication firm and for a small private IT-firm.

Panagiotis Voulgaris

Panagiotis Voulgaris is a Project Manager at the Bank of Greece and the Representative of the Bank of Greece to the C-EBS XBRL COmmon REPorting Project (COREP). He was Software Engineer, Systems Analyst at the HSBC Bank in Greece and led the IT project to automate the Prudential and Financial reporting. He has been a Software Engineer at Exodus S.A. and worked on the roll out of the "Bank of Piraeus" Electronic Banking site. He has been a certified Microsoft trainer and has worked as a Software Engineer working for the Hellenic Airforce. He has taught at City University, London and at the University of Economics and Business, Athens Greece.Panagiotis has an MSc in Business Systems Analysis and Design from City University, London UK and a Degree in Business Administration from the University of Economics and Business, Athens Greece.

David vun Kannon

PricewaterhouseCoopers, Director

David has been involved in the XBRL consortium since August, 1999. He was chosen as one of the first co-Chairs of the XBRL Specification Working Group. He has been an Editor of every version of the XBRL Specification. He has also worked on RIXML and the XML messaging vocabulary for the GSTPA. David began his career at Goldman, Sachs. He has worked for KPMG and Gari Software, a subsidiary of Dow Jones. He is currently a Director for PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP. David holds an MS in Computer Science from New York Institute of Technology, and a BS in Computer Science from Hofstra University.

Yoshiaki Wada

Yoshiaki Wada is currently Director and the head of financial data center section of the Bank of Japan's Financial Systems and Bank Examination Department. In this capacity, he is responsible for the operation of the bank's financial database system and leading the development of XBRL-based data collection system, which went live in February 2006, and have been evolving gradually. Previous experience includes time with the Information System Services Department, the Secretariat of the Policy Board, and the Budget and Management Office.He has a BA in economics from Hitotsubashi University, and in his spare time enjoys listening to music on his audio system which he constructed himself. Mr. Wada is also very involved in the Boy Scouts movement.

Hugh Wallis

Hugh Wallis has overall technical responsibility for standards development at XBRL International. To this role he brings over 30 years of software development experience in fields as diverse as Finite Element Stress Analysis, Transport Vehicle and Operator Scheduling, Compiler development, Operational and Financial Business Modelling, Multidimensional (OLAP) Databases and Business Reporting.

He became involved with the XBRL Consortium in January 2000 while a Software Architect at Hyperion Solutions and was formerly an "At Large" member of the XBRL International Steering Committee, Chair of the XBRL Specification Working Group, Chair of the XBRL-GL Working Group, Chair of the XBRL Canada Domain/Taxonomy Working Group and is a co-editor of the XBRL 2.1, Specification and other XBRL International technical products.

He holds an M.A. in Mathematics from the University of Oxford and an M.Sc. in Computer Science from the Imperial College of Science and Technology, University of London and is an Associate Member of the Canadian Association of Management Consultants. His interests include music, languages (both computer and spoken), genealogical research and techniques, visiting and crossing international borders, and geocaching. He is married and has one very active twelve year old son and two very lazy cats.

Eddy Wymeersch

Eddy Wymeersch was chairman of the Belgian Banking, Finance and Insurance Commission (CBFA), the integrated supervisor established in Belgium in 2004. As from April 2007, he chairs the supervisory board of the CBFA. On 1st February 2007, CESR Chairs elected him as chairman of Committee of European Securities Supervisors ( CESR), established in Paris. He co-chaired the Working Party on European Standards for Clearing and Settlement (2002- ) with J.M. Godeffroy of the ECB. As representative of CESR, he took part in the CESAME group of the Commission dealing with clearing and settlement, and in the Monitoring Group for the Code of Conduct on Clearing and Settlement.He also is chair of the European Regional Committee of IOSCO and is in that capacity member of IOSCO’s Executive Committee. He is further a member of the European Corporate Governance ForumEddy Wymeersch was trained as a lawyer and holds degrees of Ghent University and Harvard Law School.During his previous career he was active as an academic at the Ghent Law School, teaching and giving conferences in many places, in and outside Europe. He published extensively on subjects of Belgian and European company law, securities regulation, and related matters (for further data and working papers see www.law.ugent.be/fli/e.wymeersch.html). From 1990 on, he was member of the board of several Belgian companies, and from 1998, chairman of the Brussels airport. He was also “regent” of the National Bank of Belgium (1992- 2001) (i.e. to be compared to a supervisory council). He was member of the legislative branch of the Council of State (1989 to 2001).  In Belgium he participated in several committees advising the Belgian government, e.g. on the privatisation of the public credit institutions (1989), on the corporate governance law (2002).He acted as an adviser to the European Commission on securities regulation (see 1978-1980 Report on control of the securities markets in Europe) and chaired the SLIM (Simpler legislation for the Internal Market) working party on simplification of company law, leading to a 2006 revision of the 2nd company law directive. He acted as a consultant to the World Bank and IFC in several parts of the world. He advised on the securities laws in Bulgaria and Poland. He advised several European financial institutions and stock exchanges, and Belgian private groups as well.

Gerrit Zalm

Gerrit Zalm was born in Enkhuizen on 6 May 1952. After completing his secondary education, he studied General Economics at Amsterdam Free University (graduation 1975).In 1975 Mr Zalm went to work for the Ministry of Finance. He started off as a staff member of the Economic Affairs Section of the Budget Preparation Division. In 1977 he was appointed Head of that section and in 1978 he was appointed Head of the whole division. In 1981 he was appointed as the Deputy Director for Budgetary Affairs and Head of the Budget Preparation Division.In 1983 Mr Zalm was appointed Deputy Director for General Economic Policy at the Ministry for Economic Affairs, becoming Director of that same Directorate in 1985.Mr Zalm has been employed at the Central Planning Bureau since 1988, first as a Deputy Managing Director and from 1989 as Managing Director. Since 1990 he was also part-time Professor in Economics at Amsterdam Free University (discipline Economic Policy).Mr Zalm was the Minister of Finance in the first and second “purple” government from 22 August 1994 until 22 July 2002. In 2002-2003 he was a chairman of his party’s parliamentary group (VVD). Mr Zalm was Minister of Finance and Deputy Prime Minister in the second and third Balkenende government from 27 May 2003 until 22 February 2007.Present activities:
