Marie-Hélène Crétu graduated from IEP Paris (Institut d’Etudes Politiques) in 1984 and is a chartered accountant. She began her career as an auditor with Ernst & Young and later joined the Chase Manhattan Bank as Finance Director for France in 1989. Four years later she joined the Cargill Group where she occupied various positions in France, in the United States and finally in the United Kingdom as Chief Executive Officer of Cargill Investor Services Ltd, the broker for Futures and derivatives markets. In 2004, she returned to France and became the Chief Executive Officer of MTS France.
In 2006, she joined the Paris office of NYSE Euronext as Director of Fixed Income. As part of her responsibilities, she became Chief Executive Officer of Prime Source Ltd in February 2008 and is in charge of developing the new service of independent valuation agent offered by the Group. She is also the General Manager of the Luxnext partnership, developed between the NYSE Euronext Group and Bourse du Luxembourg.
