Two events focused on the implementation and use of XBRL are made into one. From the 5th until the 8th of May 2008, The Dutch Taxonomy Project (NTP) and XBRL International Inc. (XII) host a four-day, joint event at the Evoluon Congress Center, Eindhoven. (see Program Schedule for full detail)
The event aims at entrepreneurs, government agencies and (financial) service providers. By combining the two events, NTP and XII hope to reach larger and more specific target groups and offer an even more divers and interesting programme.
NTP
NTP is a project of the Dutch ministries of Justice and Finance with the intent to reduce the administrative burden of companies. For this purpose, NTP has developed the Dutch taxonomy based on the open standard XBRL
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Monday the 17th XBRL International Conference Opening Ceremony begins at 11:00 am in the Phillips Hall of the Evoluon Conference Center, followed by the conference luncheon. the joint conference EXPO will open on Monday afternoon with demonstrations from the experts who are sponsoring both events. Monday will end with a conference reception immediately following the special interest sessions in the EXPO area of the Evoluon.
On Monday afternoon & Tuesday experts from a diverse cross-section of business and government will be speaking about and demonstrating real life projects and XBRL implementations in Special Interest Sessions and Roundtable Events.
Specialized parallel track sessions will be focused toward the following Interest Groups:
- Track 1 - Financial Executives
- Track 2 - Investment Professionals
- Track 3 - Banking Supervisors & Government Regulators
- Track 4 - Developers
- Track 5 - Software Product Managers
Monday and Tuesday evenings immediately following the program come enjoy another networking opportunity at the Conference Reception in the EXPO area,at 5:30 at the Evoluon.
On Wednesday, The MainStage will be held jointly by both the XII and NTP conference with Keynotes that are relevant to both XBRL and SBR. This event will focus on REAL projects and implementations with detailed information on each from start to finish and what XBRL Solutions were used and why.

On Thursday, you may choose to attend the parallel sessions on Standard Business Reporting and the Dutch Taxonomy Project or XII members have the opportunity to join in the exciting Working Group activities and sit in on Standards Board and Best Practices Board meetings.
