Philip Moyer

Philip Moyer joined EDGAR Online as President in April, 2007 and became CEO in July, 2007. Mr. Moyer came to EDGAR Online from two years in private equity/venture capital with a focus on early stage companies and small cap technology firms. Previously, Mr. Moyer spent fifteen years at Microsoft managing large worldwide teams in sales, consulting, support, partner channels and technology. In his most recent role at Microsoft he managed the Professional Services industry (Accounting, Legal, Outsourcing, & HR customers) with a focus on Sarbanes Oxley, XBRL, and international accounting standards. Throughout his career at Microsoft, Mr. Moyer won multiple national and global awards for customer satisfaction, and financial performance. Prior to joining Microsoft he was a co-founder of a software company which was subsequently sold to Sungard. He holds a B.S in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh. He is on the advisory Board of Safeguard Scientifics and has recently been elected to the board of XBRL.US.
