Assurance Issues and Solutions

We indentify a set of issues, objectives and specific tasks that auditors might confront if they are asked to provide assurance on XBRL-Related Documents. We also introduce a prototype of an XBRL auditing tool (“XBRL Audit Assistant”) that we have developed for completing the audit tasks and demonstrate using a case company how the identified audit objectives could be achieved using this tool.
